48's add-on rules

These are the details for your 48 Add-ons and these are in addition to the General Terms for 48 Services.

Add-ons

To use an Add-on you must have an active Monthly Membership. Add-ons can be applied through My 48 online or by texting the relevant keyword to the short code to 1745.

Add-ons are valid for one calendar month from the date of purchase.

Your Add-on is applied on the date of purchase and it lasts until midnight at the end of the same date in the next month or until your add allowance is used, whichever should occur first. Should you use your inclusive Add-on allowance before your calendar month has expired we will notify you and you will be able to purchase additional add-ons.

If you purchase an Add-on on the 29th, 30th or 31st day of a month, and the anniversary does not occur in the next month then your Add-on will last until the last day in that next month.

There is no carryover of any unused add on allowances. You may purchase additional add-ons but the expiry date for any previously purchased add-ons will remain the same.

All Add-on usage is within the Republic of Ireland only including recipients of calls and texts except for Add-ons purchased while on the Guido plan which can also be used in the EU as shown in the table below.

You may not use your Calls Add-on to call landlines, directory enquiries, international numbers, non-geographic (low call) numbers, premium rate numbers or while roaming (except for Guido members who can use it while Roaming in EU). These calls and services will be charged at the applicable rate.

You may not use your Text Add on to text to international numbers or while roaming or for sending or receiving premium texts (except for Guido members who can use it while Roaming in EU). These texts and services will be charged at the applicable rate.

You may not use your Mobile Internet Add-on while roaming (except for Guido members who can use it while Roaming in EU). Internet use is subject to our fair use policy and is designed for use with your 48 SIM Card in the handset you use to access and use our services.

You may use your Landline Calls Add-on for calls to Irish landlines (geographic numbers) including Northern Ireland landlines dialled with the 048 prefix. You may not use your Landline Add-on for calls to international numbers, premium rate numbers, non-geographic numbers or Directory Enquiries. These calls and services will be charged at the applicable rate. You may not use your Landline Calls Add-on while roaming (except for Guido members who can use it while Roaming in EU for calls to Landline numbers to Republic of Ireland only).

Roaming

Roaming Add-ons are available only with the Guido membership. The available roaming destinations and associated services are subject to change. See http://www.48months.ie/membership-plans/going-abroad for details on roaming prices and services available.

If you port your number you will lose any unused Add-on allowances. If your service is suspended or terminated you may lose your Add on. No refund of any Add-on will be given.

Fair Use of 48 services

We want you to use our services as much as you need but unlimited or all you need does not mean unreasonable use. Click here to read our fair use policy for 48 services.

Amendments

We reserve the right to suspend or cease this Add-on service and to amend and modify these terms and conditions, including prices and denominations in which Add-ons may be purchased, without notice for any legitimate commercial, technical or operational reason.
